Sr. Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing and analyses according to standard operating procedures
• Interpret and report patient results while performing quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Provide technical leadership by troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation and processes
• Oversee the activities of Clinical Laboratory Scientists I and II and provide constructive feedback
• Assist laboratory leadership with writing and reviewing procedures, documents, and forms
• Participate in the research, validation, and implementation of new laboratory technologies and procedures
• Maintain stringent quality standards by investigating and documenting issues impacting test results or safety

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent training
• 3+ years of high complexity clinical testing experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong professionalism and leadership skills
• Intermediate level project management skills
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent state licensure
• Experience with laboratory automation and laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles
