Sr. Clinical Lab Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing and analyses on patient specimens according to standard operating procedures.
• Interpret and report patient results while performing rigorous quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Provide technical leadership during weekend overnight shifts (Saturday - Monday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM).
• Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and processes to maintain high quality and safety standards.
• Oversee the activities of Clinical Laboratory Scientists I and II, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
• Assist laboratory leadership with writing and reviewing procedures, documents, and forms.
• Participate in the research, validation, and implementation of new laboratory technologies and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent training.
• 3+ years of high complexity clinical testing experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong professionalism and leadership skills.
• Intermediate level project management skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent state licensure.
• Experience with laboratory automation and laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles.
