About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, negotiate, and lead sourcing strategies for direct and indirect goods and services to drive cost benefits and supplier diversity.
- Negotiate financial contractual agreements and develop commercial terms and conditions in coordination with legal counsel.
- Identify and implement alternative sourcing options to improve quality and reduce overall costs.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance expectations, service levels, and continuous innovation.
- Evaluate supplier performance regarding on-time shipment, quality, safety, and cost, recommending corrective action plans when necessary.
- Analyze economic market trends to recommend solutions for product quality, pricing, and availability.
- Collaborate with business partners on new product introductions, managing standard costs, gross profit, and safety requirements.
- Lead Crayola sustainable projects as a member of the Sustainability Strategy Team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Sourcing, Contract Negotiation, or Supply Chain roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management (Logistics/Supply Chain/Sourcing), Engineering, or Project Management.
- Strong analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to travel 10–15%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in low-cost global sourcing and procurement.
- Knowledge of Engineering principles.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Chinese, or Vietnamese.
- ISM certification.
