Sr Business Unit Director Cell Therapies

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, planning, and implementation of all commercial activities for Kite Cell Therapies in Canada to expand patient access.
• Maximize commercial potential of Kite Pharma assets through strategic and operational plans in collaboration with regional marketing and medical affairs.
• Build and execute successful product launches within the Canadian market.
• Manage a team of Marketing and Sales professionals, providing vision, motivation, and coaching.
• Partner with market access teams to develop and execute local reimbursement plans and pricing strategies.
• Recruit, hire, and train country-specific staff to execute cross-functional company plans.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with external bodies, including payers, patient associations, and thought leaders.
• Ensure all business activities align with company policies, quality standards, compliance, and risk management.

Requirements

• Demonstrable commercial leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Recent experience in Oncology, with specific experience in Hematology and/or orphan/rare diseases.
• Proven track record of successful budget management, revenue forecasting, and expense planning.
• Undergraduate degree is required.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to travel approximately 60% domestically and some internationally.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to attract, motivate, and retain talent.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, MD, PharmD, PhD, or other advanced life science degree.
• Experience negotiating with key pricing and reimbursement agencies.
• Understanding of the complexity of the transplant arena.
• Knowledge of technical development for cell therapy or gene therapy products.
• International experience in a global or regional role.
