Sr Automation Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and sustain automation equipment performance, addressing efficiency losses in AMHS flow, tool interfaces, and system availability
• Troubleshoot complex automation and material handling issues involving robotics, conveyors, stockers, and software interfaces
• Develop and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for automation system upgrades and configuration improvements
• Analyze automation failure modes and system interruptions to report trends and corrective actions
• Use data extraction and analysis tools to monitor system health, utilization, and manufacturing bottlenecks
• Support automation equipment availability, material flow, system qualifications, and ramp activities
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing all policies related to automated equipment and material movement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience working in a clean room or semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel, JMP, or similar data analysis tools
• Experience with process control programs (such as SPACE) or similar systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or high-volume production environment
• Experience troubleshooting semiconductor automated equipment, processes, and fab manufacturing flows
• Expertise with SPC, DOE, and root-cause analysis
