Sr. Atlassian Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable Atlassian solutions aligned with organizational goals and technical roadmaps
• Lead the administration, maintenance, and governance of Jira, Confluence, and Trello environments across cloud and on-premise deployments
• Develop complex workflows, automation rules, and custom solutions using Jira Automation, Scripts, and APIs
• Architect and oversee integrations between Atlassian tools and enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow
• Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
• Monitor system health, perform capacity planning, and implement performance enhancements
• Establish security protocols, access management frameworks, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
• Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, and Trello)
• 3+ years in a senior or leadership role managing Atlassian environments
• Expert-level knowledge of Jira administration, including advanced workflow design and automation
• Advanced proficiency in Confluence architecture, space management, and content governance
• Proven experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
• Solid understanding of both cloud and on-premise deployment models

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian Certified Administrator (Jira and/or Confluence)
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud Premium or Enterprise deployments
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Groovy
• Knowledge of Atlassian Marketplace app development or customization
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools integration
