Sr Associate, Tax

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly GST returns and manage annual GST compliances
• Calculate monthly GST liability and ensure timely discharge within statutory timelines
• Perform input tax reconciliation between GSTR 2B and books of accounts, tracking mismatched transactions
• Provide support during routine assessments and respond to queries from tax authorities
• Manage GST registrations, amendments, and refund claims as required
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and assessments
• Monitor legislative changes to ensure systems and processes remain updated
• Conduct periodic GST compliance process reviews to identify potential risks or weaknesses
• Collaborate with the tax group, local finance teams, and outside advisors
• Maintain a comprehensive database of tax policies and procedures

Requirements

• Graduate or postgraduate degree (MBA or Diploma in Taxation is an advantage)
• 10+ years of experience in managing indirect tax compliances
• 8+ years of specific experience under GST compliances
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Strong oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to identify and prioritize key opportunities and risks related to GST processes
• Willingness to travel approximately 5%
