Sr. Associate Scientist, Drug Product Delivery Technologies

Responsibilities

• Design and execute phase-appropriate formulation development studies, including screening, stability, and compatibility studies.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies for monoclonal antibodies, bioconjugates, and peptides using biophysical and biochemical techniques.
• Develop and qualify analytical methods for critical quality attributes to support formulation and drug product process development.
• Characterize drug product formulations to support the manufacturing of clinical drug substances and products.
• Document findings in electronic laboratory notebooks and contribute to technical reports and regulatory filings.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings and present study results.
• Perform general laboratory and instrument maintenance.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years of industrial experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proven ability to design and execute experiments and interpret results with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with protein/peptide chemistry and biomolecule product development.
• Expertise in biophysical/biochemical characterization of proteins.
• Hands-on experience with chromatography (SEC, IEX, RP) and gel electrophoresis (CE-SDS, MCE, cIEF, iCE).
• Experience with particle size analysis (DLS, HIAC, MFI) and spectroscopy (UV-Vis, CD, AUC, fluorescence).
• Proficiency in thermostability characterization (DSC, DSF).
• Experience in bioanalytical method development.
