Sr. Associate, Operations Engineering, Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in projects related to New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining activities
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop new system processes and troubleshoot complex containment or yield issues
• Perform hands-on development to stabilize processes used to validate deliverable products
• Maintain manufacturing processes for WESCAM products, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Environmental Stress Screening
• Design requirements for tooling, test equipment, and automation
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Provide technical direction on system failures involving electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, or optical components
• Conduct 8D root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions
• Review and implement change requests from Design Engineering and Production staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering
• Lean Green Belt Certification or equivalent industry experience
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities using project management fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or P.Eng designation
• Experience with AS9100 standards
• Proficiency in C# or similar coding languages
• Experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
