Sr. Associate, Operations Engineering, Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in projects related to New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining activities for WESCAM products
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop new system processes and troubleshoot complex yield or containment issues
• Perform hands-on development to stabilize processes used to validate deliverable products
• Maintain manufacturing processes, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Environmental Stress Screening (Thermal and Vibration)
• Design requirements for tooling, test equipment, and automation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Conduct 8D root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions for system failures (electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, or optical)
• Review and implement engineering change requests from Design and Production teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Systems)
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
• LEAN Green Belt Certification or equivalent industry experience
• Proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience with root cause analysis (8D)

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or P.Eng designation
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards
• Proficiency in C# or similar coding languages
• Experience with Project Management fundamentals
