Sr Associate Accounting

Responsibilities

• Identify and support automation opportunities across accounting processes to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times
• Build automation initiatives using Advanced Excel and VBA/Macros, including reusable templates and error handling
• Partner with Technology and Automation teams to deliver scalable solutions using tools like UiPath, Power Automate, and Power BI
• Support end-to-end delivery of automation projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX/internal control requirements
• Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards for close health and reconciliation status

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA/Macros for automation and data validation
• Hands-on experience with accounting close, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX/internal control frameworks
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or data modeling (Power Query/DAX)
• Familiarity with RPA tools such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere
• Experience with analytics tools like Alteryx
• Proficiency with Power Automate, Power Apps, or Smartsheet
