Sr. Applied Scientist

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to develop AI-based solutions for generating contextual signals across video (VOD and Live) and display ads
• Drive end-to-end applied science projects involving high degrees of ambiguity, scale, and complexity
• Provide technical and scientific leadership in areas such as computer vision, large language models (LLMs), and contextual targeting
• Research and implement new, innovative machine learning approaches to maximize yield and improve advertiser performance
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists across the broader organization to share innovations and leverage prior art

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
• PhD, or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience
• Proficiency in programming with Java, C++, Python, or related languages
• Hands-on experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, or scipy
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop or Spark
