Sr. Analyst

Responsibilities

• Research, review, and audit trade finance documents, including letters of credit renewals, maturity files, and discrepancy notifications.
• Identify and escalate potential risks associated with letters of credit transactions.
• Reconcile and balance letters of credit fees, liabilities, and posted items.
• Investigate customer inquiries while adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Support the processing of specialized transactions such as amendments, acceptances, collections, and reimbursements.
• Assist with the preparation and recording of correspondence for standby and commercial letters of credit, supply chain finance, and dynamic discounting.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regional government regulatory agencies, including AML, Patriot Act, and UCP/ISP standards.
• Assist in tracking and improving standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in finance or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience working within a complex financial services environment.
• Knowledge of trade finance servicing, structuring trade deals, and supply chain finance.
• Understanding of financial products, accounting principles, and compliance regulations.
• Understanding of economic and political risks in international trade, such as exchange rate risk.
• Working knowledge of trade financing reporting, reconciliation, and audit mechanisms.
