Sr Advanced Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply GD&T standards in accordance with ASME Y14.5, ISO 1101, and related norms
• Analyze technical drawings and 3D models to validate dimensional and geometric specifications
• Define functional tolerances based on design and manufacturing requirements
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve dimensional issues
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and accumulation studies
• Support dimensional validations using CMM and other precision measuring equipment
• Participate in root cause analyses related to dimensional failures and non-conformities
• Train technical personnel in print reading and GD&T interpretation

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering field
• 2–5 years of experience in drawing interpretation and GD&T application within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 standards
• Experience with dimensional metrology and CMM operation
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis (SPC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and reduce rework/scrap
