SQL Developer/Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support MS SQL Server databases across development and production environments
• Perform backups, restores, and manage recovery models
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools
• Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
• Configure and maintain database servers to ensure system health, availability, and security
• Approve developer change requests for database objects including tables, procedures, indices, and triggers
• Assist developers with performance tuning and query optimization
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real time
• Automate routine processes, monitor database jobs, and document changes
• Collaborate with teams to manage database transitions across product lifecycle stages

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and query plans
• Proficiency in backup/restore strategies and recovery models
• Solid understanding of HA/DR setups and replication techniques
• Experience working in Windows Server environments
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques
• Ability to work independently and resolve issues quickly
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
