SQA Engineer IV

Responsibilities

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to create comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform regression, system integration, user acceptance, and exploratory testing to ensure product integrity
• Undertake manual testing activities, document test results, and create detailed defect reports
• Develop and execute automated test scripts and contribute to the maintenance of automated test suites
• Create and maintain test environments, test labs, test data, and necessary documentation
• Work collaboratively in an Agile environment to meet testing objectives and participate in related ceremonies
• Mentor junior team members to support professional growth and team quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field
• At least 10 years of experience in QA roles with a focus on continuous product improvement
• In-depth knowledge of the software testing life cycle (STLC)
• Proven experience working within an Agile development environment
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail) and defect tracking tools
• Demonstrated experience with automation tools and programming/debugging in Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with Web Services and Web APIs, including familiarity with tools like SOAP UI and JMeter
• Hands-on experience with virtual machines and hypervisors such as VMWare or Hyper-V

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SmartBear TestComplete automation tool
• Experience in performance testing and data warehousing
• Proficiency with TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and Git
• Exposure to Jira and Confluence
• Professional certifications in software testing
