About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and resources for multiple concurrent fire sprinkler installation projects
  • Oversee project execution against NFPA 13 standards and California fire codes
  • Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, blueprints, and fire codes
  • Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, and field crews
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, billing, and job costing
  • Support and direct field installation teams and foremen
  • Champion compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Manage permitting, inspections, and AHJ coordination
  • Travel to job sites across assigned counties using a company-provided vehicle

Requirements

  • 5+ years of fire sprinkler or fire protection experience
  • Proven experience in commercial construction and tenant improvement projects
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and California fire codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and change order management
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid California Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification
  • NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout
  • Field experience in fire sprinkler installation and pipe-fitting
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Southern California permitting processes
