Spraypainter

Responsibilities

• Assess the extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests
• Manage customer expectations and provide regular progress updates
• Prepare repair or modification cost estimates and finalize agreements
• Plan, organize, and schedule the workflow
• Restore damaged vehicles by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, and repairing scratches
• Perform spray painting on panels and accommodate customization requests
• Ensure compliance with industry specifications and safety standards
• Operate recovery vehicles

Requirements

• Qualified Spray painter with panel beater certification or equivalent vocational training
• Experience with spray painting, general welding, and brazing
• Ability to operate mechanical, hydraulic, and metalworking equipment
• Proficiency with body repair kits, pneumatic saws, and hydraulic lifters
• Valid Driver's License and license to operate recovery vehicles
• Computer literacy in Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Must reside in the Helderberg areas (Strand, Somerset West)
• Own reliable transport
• Physically fit and able to operate heavy machinery

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater
• Thorough knowledge of automotive industry safety specifications and regulations
