Sports Writer

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread text content for Smashi Sports and other company portfolios
• Research and develop diverse content formats including text, audio, and video
• Prepare monthly content calendars and attend weekly meeting calls
• Publish content directly to platforms and manage distribution across social channels
• Ensure all output aligns with brand standards and meets scheduled deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience (experience covering the business industry is a plus)
• Fluency in both English and Arabic (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Canva and adaptability to various production systems
• Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing tactics (email marketing, web analytics)
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the business industry
• Interest in on-camera presenting
• Ability to manage multiple projects under short deadlines
