Sports Reporter/MMJ

Responsibilities

• Develop, research, and produce compelling sports stories covering professional and college athletics.
• Cover practices, news conferences, and live sporting events.
• Shoot high-quality video and still photography to illustrate stories.
• Edit video content for all multimedia platforms using non-linear editing systems.
• Deliver live reports from the field and appear on television for interviews or narration.
• Assist in producing and hosting "Sports Extra" during the college football season.
• Collaborate with photographers, news producers, and online staff to ensure high-quality multimedia coverage.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in videography and non-linear editing.
• Proficiency with broadcast-quality camera equipment and editing systems like Final Cut Pro.
• Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on sports schedules.
