Sports Performance Coach

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage individual and group strength, weight, and fitness training programs for men and women student-athletes.
• Evaluate current physical conditioning and tailor strength programs to meet specific sport-related needs.
• Demonstrate proper exercise performance and correct student-athlete technique to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Reduce the likelihood of sports-related injuries through proper injury prevention methods and warm-up protocols.
• Collaborate with sports medicine personnel and athletic trainers during training sessions and contests.
• Mentor and inspire student-athletes to help them reach their physical potential and succeed through graduation.
• Comply with all NCAA, Atlantic 10, and University rules, academic standards, and athletic department policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Current CSCS and/or CSCCa certification.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to NCAA and member conference rules and regulations.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and sustain long work hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to pass required background checks, including PA Criminal Records, FBI Fingerprinting, and PA Child Abuse clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coaching experience at a collegiate or professional level.
