Sports Pastor

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Chandler campus sports ministry and volunteer teams
• Reinforce the Stars mission and guide coaches and volunteers in spiritual growth
• Plan and execute leagues, camps, and events including schedules, teams, and referees
• Maintain facility, equipment, and safety standards for practices and games
• Build relationships with families, schools, and the local community to promote Stars
• Communicate regularly with participants and support coaches during practices and games
• Integrate the sports ministry with other campus ministries and assist in campus-wide events

Requirements

• Alignment with CCV core values and engagement in CCV Next Steps
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Leadership experience with ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers
• Customer-focused mindset with a drive for results and self-development
• Strategic planning and administrative skills to manage multiple seasons simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• College experience preferred; previous leadership and coaching experience highly desired
• Availability for a variable schedule including approximately two nights per week and Saturdays during season
