Sports Pastor

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the East Area club soccer program, implementing club policies and standards
• Serve as primary contact for coaches and handle parent issues
• Recruit coaches, managers, and trainers; manage financial aspects of trainers
• Schedule practices and games; secure referees
• Lead camps, tryouts, tournaments, and assist with Champions Cup
• Drive technical development of players, teams, and coaches
• Observe practices and games; coach teams as needed
• Lead coach and parent meetings; coordinate with leagues
• Reinforce Stars ministry mission and build relationships with families and coaches
• Guide coaches and volunteers in spiritual growth and next steps
• Ensure More Than A Game elements (huddles, curriculum, prayer) take place
• Support recreational sports programming and volunteer recruitment
• Assist with facility readiness, equipment, safety, and minor repairs

Requirements

• Alignment with CCV core values and engagement in CCV Next Steps
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and leadership skills
• Customer focus and drive for results
• Strategic planning and administrative abilities
• College experience preferred
• Previous leadership experience highly desired
• Club coaching experience and coach licenses preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

CCV Stars is a year-round, multi-site outreach ministry of Christ's Church of the Valley that connects the community through sports. It serves over 25,000 youth participants annually through flag football, soccer, and basketball programs.
