Sports Pastor

Responsibilities

• Lead the North Area club soccer program and enforce club policies and standards
• Serve as primary contact for coaches and parents; recruit coaches, managers, and trainers
• Manage practice and game scheduling, secure referees, and coordinate league and tournament play
• Oversee technical development of players, teams, and coaches; promote US Soccer coach licenses
• Lead events such as camps, tryouts, and tournaments
• Reinforce Stars ministry mission and build relationships with families and coaches
• Ensure More Than A Game elements like huddles, curriculum, and prayer are implemented
• Support recreational sports programming by recruiting and training volunteers
• Assist with facility readiness, equipment management, safety, and minor repairs
• Maintain a variable schedule including two weeknights and Saturdays during seasons

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Proven leadership and customer-focused mindset
• Drive for results with ability to multitask and manage time across multiple seasons
• Strategic planning and administrative skills to execute organized programs
• College experience preferred
• Club coaching experience, coach licenses, or Stars experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

CCV Stars is a year-round, multi-site outreach ministry of Christ's Church of the Valley that connects the community through sports. It serves over 25,000 youth participants annually through flag football, soccer, basketball, and character-building programs.
