Sports Medicine Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic taping and assist with medical treatments for athletes
• Practice/game preparations and coverage supervised by certified athletic trainer
• General cleaning and athletic training room maintenance & basic office administrative tasks
• Assist with medical record keeping and computer input
• Provide/assist with First Aid and possible CPR in an emergency situation
• Travel with athletic teams as necessary

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at Augsburg University
• Work study-eligible
• Ability to work some nights and weekends
• Commitment to a minimum of one full school year
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Effective communication and accountability skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR/AED, First aid certification, and bloodborne pathogen training (training provided)
