Sports Anchor/Reporter

Responsibilities

• Cover local high school, college, and professional sports through impactful storytelling
• Plan, shoot, write, and edit original stories and produce sportscasts
• Anchor sports segments from the desk and report live from the field
• Collaborate with other sports anchors to break major stories and ensure comprehensive coverage
• Engage with audiences across television, digital, social, and streaming platforms
• Build and maintain a strong network of local sports contacts and sources
• Represent KFSN-TV/ABC30 at community events and promotional engagements

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in sports reporting or anchoring
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• Proven skills in writing, shooting, and editing video content
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the Central California area and local sports landscape
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Dalet
