Sports Anchor/MSJ

Responsibilities

• Anchor sports segments across multiple newscasts with an authoritative and engaging delivery
• Perform live shots from games, press conferences, and breaking sports news situations
• Enterprise original sports stories, including features, profiles, and deep-dive coverage
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with coaches, players, and athletic departments
• Create platform-specific content for streaming and mobile audiences
• Produce mobile-first sports updates and engage audiences via digital and social platforms

Requirements

• On-air sports reporting or anchoring experience
• Demonstrated ability to shoot, write, and edit high-quality video under tight deadlines
• Proven ability to create compelling digital and social media content
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a news-gathering vehicle
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred
• Ability to thrive in live, breaking news environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with vMix, EDIUS, and Axis graphics
• Knowledge of Georgia sports culture
