Sport Manager - Para Athletics

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of operational planning for Paralympic Athletics
• Liaise with World Para Athletics for the development and design of competition and training venues
• Act as the subject matter expert for para athletics within the organization
• Collaborate with World Para Athletics on competition and training schedules
• Validate sport equipment requirements for para athletics
• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day leadership of the Competition Management workforce
• Manage stakeholder relations with World Para Athletics and other athletics staff
• Provide reports and updates on the status of deliverables and tasks
• Support the development of budgets and project plans

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience delivering national and international level para athletics events in a leadership role
• Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in an office environment in Los Angeles, CA
• Ability to travel internationally, domestically, and locally as required
• Valid Passport for international travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Direct Olympic and Paralympic sport experience at a previous OCOG or multi-sport Games
• Experience delivering International Federation (IF) level events
