Speech Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within the scope of state practice laws and in accordance with the plan of care
• Evaluate patient functional ability using diagnostic and prognostic tests to assist in developing therapy plans
• Treat patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions based on individual conditions
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition to supervising nurses or physicians
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on speech therapy participation and support

Requirements

• Speech therapy license in the state of residence
• Current CPR certification
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Access to a dependable vehicle or reliable public transportation
