About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop materials and information regarding AAC, Accessible Information, and Communication Access across various platforms
- Implement CIRC projects including non-electronic communication aids, Key Word Sign (KWS) activities, and training services
- Deliver expert services and advice to a national range of customers and stakeholders to improve communication access
- Provide high-quality services in adherence to allocated hours and quoted amounts
- Offer expert advice across education, capacity building, and communication product services
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Speech Pathology with at least four years of clinical experience
- Current certified practising speech pathologist membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Demonstrated expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and multi-modal communication
- Experience supporting individuals to access both electronic and non-electronic AAC tools
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the disability, human services, or community sectors
- Proven ability to provide training to communication partners both in person and online
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-direct while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
