Speech Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Develop materials and information regarding AAC, Accessible Information, and Communication Access across various platforms
• Implement CIRC projects including non-electronic communication aids, Key Word Sign (KWS) activities, and training services
• Deliver expert services and advice to a national range of customers and stakeholders to improve communication access
• Provide high-quality services in adherence to allocated hours and quoted amounts
• Offer expert advice across education, capacity building, and communication product services

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Speech Pathology with at least four years of clinical experience
• Current certified practising speech pathologist membership with Speech Pathology Australia
• Demonstrated expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and multi-modal communication
• Experience supporting individuals to access both electronic and non-electronic AAC tools
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
• Current Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the disability, human services, or community sectors
• Proven ability to provide training to communication partners both in person and online
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-direct while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
