Requirements

About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed SLPs in conducting individual and group therapy sessions with students
- Implement treatment plans and therapy techniques as directed by the supervising SLP
- Monitor and document student progress and responses to therapy activities
- Collaborate with SLPs to adjust treatment strategies based on individual student needs
- Maintain student records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with TEA standards
- Coordinate scheduling of student therapy sessions with the supervising SLP
- Communicate effectively with families to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home
- Participate in professional development to stay current on pediatric speech therapy best practices
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, materials, and tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic therapy team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
