Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Assess, screen, and evaluate students and share results with parents and staff
• Analyze data to monitor and inform instruction for student growth
• Develop and implement IEPs for students with Speech/Language Impairment
• Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services for expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language
• Participate in the eligibility determination process according to MARSE and ISD/RESA guidelines
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements for school-based claiming
• Collaborate with the IEP team, parents, and school community
• Maintain confidential records according to FERPA guidelines

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• Valid State certification with appropriate licenses
• Demonstrated competence in all areas of focus
• Experience in speech pathology case reporting and writing
• Ability to operate a computer and utilize instructional technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the IEP process
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
• Skills in best practice instruction specific to various disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
