About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, screen, and evaluate students and share results with parents and staff
- Analyze data to monitor and inform instruction for student growth
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with Speech/Language Impairment
- Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services for expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language
- Participate in the eligibility determination process according to MARSE and ISD/RESA guidelines
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements for school-based claiming
- Collaborate with the IEP team, parents, and school community
- Maintain confidential records according to FERPA guidelines
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Valid State certification with appropriate licenses
- Demonstrated competence in all areas of focus
- Experience in speech pathology case reporting and writing
- Ability to operate a computer and utilize instructional technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the IEP process
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Skills in best practice instruction specific to various disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
