Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Carry out Speech and Language Therapy assessments and develop communication profiles
• Design and implement individualised therapy programmes
• Provide guidance and training to staff on communication strategies
• Support students with neurodiversity, DLD, ASC, and complex communication needs
• Contribute to strategies for emotional regulation and social communication
• Support learners in developing functional communication for daily living and work
• Work collaboratively with education staff and external partners
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration and RCSLT membership (or eligibility)
• Experience working with young people or adults with ASC and DLD
• Experience with complex or pre-verbal communication profiles
• Understanding of functional communication and life skills development
• Strong interpersonal skills for staff training
