Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation support workers
• Contribute to personalised rehabilitation programmes that include clinical, educational, and therapeutic sessions
• Support the development of personal, social, and domestic skills, guided leisure activities, and vocational training
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development
• Promote access to the local community and support behavioural management strategies

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Full membership of RCSLT
• Experience working with adults in neurorehabilitation settings
• Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills
