Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Work as an autonomous Speech and Language Therapist within a multidisciplinary team
• Assess how communication difficulties impact daily life and provide appropriate interventions
• Develop and deliver personalised management and rehabilitation plans
• Work collaboratively with service users and their social networks to overcome communication barriers
• Provide training and support to staff and the individual’s wider support network
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Experience working with adults with neurological conditions or acquired brain injuries
• Strong clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
