Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a caseload of pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Develop and deliver individualised therapy plans in collaboration with educational and clinical colleagues
• Provide direct and indirect therapy, including staff training and support
• Work closely with parents/carers and contribute to EHCP reviews and multi-disciplinary team meetings
• Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation following best practice and safeguarding protocols

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Current HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• Previous experience in SEN school settings, ideally with a focus on ASC
• Strong understanding of neurodiversity and integrated therapeutic approaches
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
