Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapeutic interventions for pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Develop child-centred therapy plans and work collaboratively with teaching staff and clinicians
• Provide advice, strategies, and hands-on support to staff to promote communication-friendly environments
• Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews, Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), and progress monitoring
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with HCPC and RCSLT standards
• Support whole-school communication initiatives and service development

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• Experience working with children with complex needs and challenging behaviours
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
