Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and therapy for children and young people with SLCN and complex needs in specialist centres
• Manage a caseload of school-aged children (4–18 years) across multiple centres
• Develop and deliver individualised therapy plans, including interventions using AAC where appropriate
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and MDT colleagues to support holistic care
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records
• Contribute to centre meetings, reviews, and multidisciplinary planning

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• At least two years’ experience working with children and young people in schools
• Experience with AAC is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
