Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a range of communication and language difficulties in children and young people
• Provide both direct and indirect therapy within mainstream and specialist school settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional standards and service policies
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, reviews, and training sessions
• Support the development of communication-friendly environments within the school community

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Previous experience working with paediatric populations
• Experience in mainstream and special school settings preferred
