Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Complete autism assessments for children and young people as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Lead and contribute to diagnostic assessments using specialist clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
• Carry out Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) assessments
• Work collaboratively with professionals across the MDT to support clinical decision-making
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards
• Provide specialist communication assessments to support autism diagnoses

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• ADOS training with proven experience conducting autism assessments
• Experience assessing children and young people for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
