Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment, and management of language, communication, and swallowing problems in adult clients
• Deliver evidence-based specialist intervention and evaluate outcomes
• Maintain associated clinical records as an autonomous practitioner
• Utilize specialist clinical skills for interpretative assessment techniques and interventions for patients with tracheostomies
• Perform instrumental procedures such as video fluoroscopy

Requirements

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Experience in neurology and progressive neurological conditions
• Highly specialist knowledge in neurorehabilitation
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
• Training in video fluoroscopy
