Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and management of dysphagia and communication difficulties
• Deliver therapy across a range of inpatient wards, adapting to caseload demands
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
• Flexibly support additional inpatient areas such as Acute Neurosciences, Critical Care, and Acute Stroke

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• Experience in acute inpatient care and neurorehabilitation
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced competencies in tracheostomy
• Advanced competencies in videofluoroscopy
