About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate therapeutic group sessions to improve speech and communication skills
- Build rapport with service users to encourage engagement and recovery
- Manage complex cases considering cultural and linguistic differences
- Develop strategies for caseload management
- Conduct audits and contribute to research to enhance treatment provision
- Apply specialist knowledge in neuro-behavioural, brain injury, and specialist care
Requirements
- HCPC Registration
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree/qualification
- At least 2 years of clinical experience
- At least 1 year of adult acute experience
- Dysphagia trained with signed-off competencies
- Ability to see patients independently
- Established knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions for swallowing and communication difficulties
