Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of adults with acquired neurological conditions
• Provide expert assessment and intervention for dysphagia and communication impairments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Conduct home visits across Lewisham
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding swallowing and communication strategies

Requirements

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Experience working with adults with acquired neurological diagnoses
• Expertise in managing dysphagia and communication impairments
• Experience with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties secondary to dementia
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team in a community setting
• Ability to conduct home visits
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
