Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Work with patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and acquired brain injury (ABI)
• Deliver evidence-based interventions as part of an inpatient neuro rehabilitation programme
• Manage dysphagia and provide appropriate recommendations for safe swallowing
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Proven experience working with adult neuro rehabilitation caseloads
• Dysphagia competency
• Strong multidisciplinary team working skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
