Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with complex neurological conditions
• Deliver individualised rehabilitation programmes focused on communication and swallowing needs
• Contribute to slow-stream neuro rehabilitation pathways
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychology
• Assess and manage complex dysphagia and communication impairments
• Support person-centred goal setting to maximise independence
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Contribute to ongoing care planning and multidisciplinary reviews

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• Experience in adult neuro rehabilitation services
• Skills in managing complex communication and swallowing disorders
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
