Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with stroke and related neurological conditions
• Deliver client-centred therapy within community environments, including patients’ homes and outpatient settings
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic rehabilitation goals
• Contribute to care planning, goal setting, and regular case reviews
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility)
• Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Proven experience working with adults with neurological conditions, particularly stroke
• Specialist knowledge of adult neurology and experience in community settings
