Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing difficulties related to head and neck cancer
• Provide specialist assessment and intervention plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Work collaboratively with medical teams and wider multidisciplinary professionals to support patient outcomes
• Provide advice and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to service development

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Previous experience in Head and Neck Cancer, oncology, acute, or specialist SLT settings
• Experience managing complex communication and swallowing needs
