Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders within an acute inpatient setting
• Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient needs
• Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and therapy colleagues as part of the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards
• Participate in service development, audits, and clinical meetings as required

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Previous experience working with adult acute or inpatient caseloads
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
