Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties
• Independently manage a caseload across community and outpatient clinic settings
• Provide assessment and treatment for patients with dysphagia in line with current clinical guidelines
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to support patients' communication and swallowing needs
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HCPC and local service standards

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Experience working at Band 6 or Band 7 level
• Dysphagia competency and relevant postgraduate training
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
